Unit Cell

One youth is assigned per cell. Youth are allowed 2 books and 1 religious book in the room. Youth are also allowed 1 cup of water, 1 mat, and 1 blanket. Extra pillows and blankets can be purchased with their points at the commissary. They must fold their socks and sweatshirts and leave them outside the door before entering their room. Blankets are folded before leaving their room.

(See Mohave Juvenile Detention Center Handbook.) The facility has a "Cool-Down" policy where students are allowed to request a 5 or 10-minute break to cool down.
