LawForKids.org User Account

Q: How do I create an account on LawForKids.org?

A: Visit lawforkids.org/lre-academy. Select “Create an account” located under the login button. Follow the steps and fill out the online form to create an account which includes a username and password. After you create an account, you will receive an e-mail to activate your account (sometimes this email may go to your spam inbox). Please click on this e-mail. If you do not activate your account, you will not be able to login. *Creating an account will be a one-time only process.


Q: I cannot remember my account password. What should I do?

A: Click on “Forgot your password?” located under the login box. Next, enter your email address associated with your account and an automated email will be sent to you. You will then be prompted to reset your password.

A: Click on “Forgot your username?” located under the login box. Next, enter your email address associated with your account and an automated email will be sent to you. You will then be prompted to reset your username.


Q: How do I edit my user account profile?

A: Log-in to your account at lawforkids.org/lre-academy. Then, on the left side menu, click on “Edit Profile”.


LRE Academy

Q: What is the LRE Academy?

ALaw Related Education (LRE) provides instruction in legal rights, responsibilities, and the role of the citizen requiring students to practice the application of law in potential real-life situations. It is the Academy's primary initiative to provide evidence based professional development designed to meet and exceed law related education's best practices. Through expanded LRE Academy trainings and resources, the Foundation will equip Arizona educators with the necessary knowledge and skills to implement effective LRE curricula.


Q: How do I choose an LRE Academy to attend?

ADetermine the needs of your campus by looking at your school discipline data, community crime data, and surveys. Then, choose an LRE Academy based on your campus needs.  See ‘Campus Needs’ under each Academy overview.


QHow do I know if an LRE Academy meets the School Safety Program grant Advanced LRE Academy requirement?

AAll “Free for SSP Only” LRE Academies meet the requirements of the School Safety Program. Half day workshops do not meet the requirement. Please read the training description as it will notate if a training does not meet the Advanced LRE Academy requirement.


Q: How do I register for an LRE Academy?

AVisit lawforkids.org/lre-academy to view trainings that are “Free for SSP Only” and “Free for Everyone”. You must login to your account before registering for a training. Select the training of your choice and click on register individual to fill out the registration form.


Q: The LRE Academy I would like to attend is currently full, what should I do?

APlease register to be placed on the waiting list. At least one week prior to the training date, you will be notified via email if there is there is a seat available for you to attend.


QI have registered for an LRE Academy, how do I know if I have been confirmed to attend?

AAfter submitting your registration, your registration will be processed and you will receive a confirmation email within 5 business days should you be confirmed to attend. Sometimes, these emails may go to your spam/junk inbox; please check there if you do not see the email.


QMay I register my colleague for an LRE Academy using my user login?

AEvery individual will need to register for an academy using their own login credentials as user accounts are specific to the individual. Please do not submit a registration for a colleague.


QHow do I cancel my training registration?

ALog-in to your account, click on “View My Events”, and click “Cancel Registration” for the training you are unable to attend.


Training Record

QI cannot remember when I attended an LRE Academy. What should I do?

AVisit lawforkids.org/lre-academy and log-in to your account. Click on “View My Events”. You will then be able to view your training registration history.


QI have misplaced my training certificate; how do I obtain another copy?

ALog-in to your account at lawforkids.org/lre-academy. Click on “View My Events” to view your training registration history. You may print out a screen shot of your training history. For those who require this as part of the School Safety Program, the Arizona Department of Education will accept a printed screen shot of your training history in lieu of a certificate.


QI am a school administrator and would like to obtain the training certificate for an educator at my school. What should I do?

APlease contact the educator directly as only they have access to their account and training registration history. If they are no longer at your school, please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..


Training Fees 

QWhat is the difference between LRE Academies that are designated as “Free for SSP Only” and “Free for Everyone”?

AAcademies that are designated “Free for SSP Only” are free for School Safety Program funded school safety officers, teachers, and administrators. Educators who are not from School Safety Sites can still attend but they must pay the fee. Academies that are designated “Free for Everyone” are free for all educators to attend. School Safety Officers may also attend the “Free for Everyone” academies.


QHow do I provide payment to attend an LRE Academy?

AAfter you submit your registration, an electronic invoice will be emailed to you that will provide details on how you can provide payment. Multiple payment methods are accepted including payment by credit card and check.


Teacher Scholarships

QMy school site is not funded by the School Safety Program grant, may I still attend an Advanced LRE Academy?

AIf you are a school resource officer, juvenile probation officer, or administrator at a school located in a school district where at least one school site is funded by the School Safety Program grant, you may attend for free using a teacher scholarship. When registering for a training, please select “I am an Educator at a School Safety Site and would like to receive a teacher scholarship to attend this training” to notify us of your intention to use a scholarship. Scholarships are subject to availability.


QI work at a school site that is funded by the School Safety Program grant, but I am not an officer or administrator, may I attend an LRE Academy for free?

AYes, as an educator at a School Safety Program funded site, you may attend for free using a teacher scholarship. When registering for a training, please select “I am an Educator at a School Safety Site and would like to receive a teacher scholarship to attend this training” to notify us of your intention to use a scholarship. Scholarships are subject to availability.
