Cell Phone and Technology Safety for Youth

Event Overview

This virtual workshop is for Juvenile Probation Officers and Detention Staff in Arizona. 

According to Pew Research Center 95% of U.S. teens have access to a smartphone and 45% of them use the internet constantly[1]. This workshop will provide insight on how to keep youth safe with cell phone and technology use. Participants will receive a 45-minute presentation from an expert on the topic and be able to ask questions. Following the presentation, participants will engage in a programming activity that will utilize the information obtained by the guest speaker. The activity will demonstrate how to teach youth utilizing best practices in juvenile delinquency prevention.
