Question

I heard that you can't be a designated driver if you were under 21. Is this true?

Answer

That is absolutely not true. Anyone with a valid drivers license can act as a designated driver. And people under 21 cannot legally drink, making them perfect designated drivers.

However, it can be more difficult to be a designated driver if you're not 21 since you cannot get into bars.

But if you're a really great friend and believe in ensuring your friends' safety, you can still wait in the parking lot and serve as a designated driver.
