For the past 2.5 years my grandaughter(2.5yrs old) has been in my care/custody from Thur - Sun. Now, suddenly her mother wants restrict all visitation with me, no overnights. Nothing has happened at my home to promote this action, my son is suddenly agreeing to everyother weekend visits. When my grandaughter needed her shots, I took her, when she got sick and needed her lungs pumped I took, I have had her in preschool, swim lessons, etc. etc. What can I do to protect my visitation rights with my grandaughter, we have a very strong bond and this change will confuse and hurt her.
I don't get along with my family. There is mental abuse, but not physical. I do have a place to stay, and it is a 2 parent responsible and healthy acting family, unlike my own family. My parents would never relinquish control of me. If I leave without permission, and I go live with this other family, a) could this other family be charged legally with a crime for allowing me to stay there without parent permission? b) could I be in legal trouble by staying there? My school grades are exc., but emancipation isn't possible since my parents refuse to allow me to have a job. Please help.

Question: Can a parent kick really kick me out of the house before I am 18?
Answer: A parent could kick you out of the house before you are 18 but there might be consequences for the parent.
Arizona Law (ARS §25-511) makes it a class 6 felony (imprisonment for 1 year and up to a $150,000 fine) if the parent of a minor child knowingly fails to furnish reasonable support for the parent's child. Another Arizona Law (ARS §13-3613) makes it a class 1 misdemeanor (up to 6 months in jail and a $2500 fine) for a parent to cause, encourage or contribute to the dependency or delinquency of a child. A minor who was made homeless as a result of being kicked out could be considered dependant or delinquent. It is also a class 1 misdemeanor under Arizona Law (ARS §13-3619) for a person having custody of a minor under sixteen years of age to knowingly cause or permit the life of such minor to be endangered. Being homeless or not having resources for food and shelter could be considered endangerment.

My friend was kicked out a few days ago. She is 13, like me, and is now staying with the principle of our school. Her mom says it is only for a few days but I don't feel it is emotionally a safe place for her to be. Her mom uses her as a full time babysitter/house keeper and i would feel much better if my friend could live with me... forever. Is there a way to MAKE this choice an actual possibility without her moms consent?

Just some info for you guys asking questions:
When I was 15, I was thrown out of the house. No money, no job, nowhere to go, to way of transportation. I managed to make it to the nearest city. There are places for "street youth" to go, and if you feel you may be in danger of being thrown out, research where they are now. It's possible to get a cheap/free lawyer for minors, as well. Since then, I've entered the foster care system and have sued for some of my belongings back with some support.
