Question: What are the requirements to become President?
Answer: The United States Constitution outlines the
requirements for President in Article 2. This article of the U.S. Constitution
also outlines the many powers of the President and Executive branch of
government.
Section 1 of Article 2 of the U.S. Constitution states
that a President must:
- be a natural born citizen of the united States
- be at least 35 years old
- have lived in the U.S. for at least 14 years
In addition, the 22nd Amendment to the U.S. Constitution
states that a President may not serve more than 2 terms of 4 years each,
even if they have only served as President for 2 or more years of one
of those terms.

A natural born citizen is one of which was born in the US to parents owing no allegiance to any other country. This is stated in the Law of Nations as well as Senate bill 61. The term natural born citizen is used in the Constitution. If parents are not from the US, and a child is born in the US, that child is a born citizen, however not naturally because his parents have an allegiance to other countries.

Washington became President because there was a stipulation that as long as you were a citizen when the constitution was adopted you could run. If not we would have had to wait 20 years for our first president.

President Barack Obama was born at Kapi'olani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii, United States, on August 4, 1961 - he is natural born citizen of the united States. Our Constitution does not contain Mommy and Daddy requirement. I am neither his supporter, nor do I approve of his policies and politics. However, I think that questioning legitimacy of his presidency based on hearsay and speculations is ignorant way of expressing opposition to whatever we don't like about him.
