In August of 2004 I did one of the dumbest things in the world. I decided to ditch school with my then boyfriend and his brother. We went to my boyfriends house and his brother handed me a 20oz bottle of everclear and told me to chug it, so I did. After about 3mins I was completly gone and out of control. I began hitting on every guy in sight and cussing at everyone. we decided that i should just go home and try to sleep it off, but on the way home I began puking all over the place and we had to pull over. One of the last things I remember is staring up at a tree. I guess from there the cops and ambulance were called, I was so out of control the EMT refused to ride with me unless someone else was there, so they had to call my boyfriends mom(who really didnt know what was going on) and have her ride to the hospital with me. Upon my arrival to the hospital I went into seisures and my heart stopped beating. that happend twice. It took about 10 hours for me to come down, and then I was sent to Sonora Behavioral health were I could be monitored for Detox. I went home 3 days later and went through teen court deversion program. Now the tought, smell or even tasted makes me throw-up instantly. It was the most stupidest thing I have ever done, and ruined my life. Now my parents dont trust me, I cant get my drivers lisence until I am 18 and I get called names at school. It was definatly not worth it!

First of all if you're ditching school you're clearly not mature. School is very important and all mature adults know that. Secondly if you are giving in to peer pressure you are not mature and last but not least if you knew anything about alcohol you would know that you NEVER-EVER chug EverClear. It has a very high alcohol content that must never be drank alone nor in excessive amounts. Finally, if you are not mature you should not be drinking and that is why 21 is the legal drinking age. Grow up.

Yeah drinking itn't anything good or fun inless u r in control and u know ur limet. i was dipressed and i got drunk alot and one day i just thot that life wasn't really worth liveing and drank 8oz of vodka. Didn't end well.... I woke up naked as a jay bird in the bath tub. and my mom was beside me telling me how stupid i was. i woke up a cupel hours later on the couch. the next day was even worrs my family was pissed and didnt really talk to me and my head felt like some one been punching me in the face all night. SO DONT DRINK IT CAUSES PROBLEMS AND ISN'T ALL THAT FUN AT THE END!

Her friends didn't know what to do and were afraid to tell adults when she started puking and passing in and out of consciousness. By morning she was dead. Look up: "Shelby's Rules" The final episode of ER that aired 4/02/09 included a segment on alcohol poisoning which was inspired by Shelby. This is very real and you are actually very lucky.
